I have 1999 Dodge Caravan that the Dash will quit going down the Road. If we tap or Bang on the Dash it come back on sometimes. It is a 1999 Dodge Caravan with approx 170.000 Miles and the 3.3L Engine, Auto Trans.
I removed the dash Cluster suspecting a loose connection and found no loose connections, Have I got a faulty Dash or is there a Relay somewhere that may be failing?
Thanks for the help.

I also have a 98 dodge caravan and took it to the garage as there were a couple of times where all my gauges weren't working on my dash as I would not know how fast I was driving as they weren't working. The mechanic said it may be the dash and it would have to be replaced but then he wanted to do a test and that was to unhook the battery for a couple of seconds and then rehooked it back up and eveything was back yo itself and if this doesn't work plan on having your wan sitting at a garage for a while because he told me they would have to take it out and send it away as they had to replace it with a new one and it would have to be put to the same kilometers that are on the vehicle> I hope this has helped. And I hope I have saved you a ton of money as well as the dash is costly to replace

I have actually found the Problem and have fixed it. It was two cold solder joints on the electronics portion of the Dash Instrument Cluster. The specific joints werre the ground points on the conector. The grounds are the 2 points nearest the Temp Gauge in my particular case.

I would like to thank the 1 Person that replied to this post though.
