I have a 1992 Dodge Caravan SE with 192,500 miles on it. I recently went shopping and when I returned to my vehicle and tried to start it, the key turned in the ignition but nothing happened. It felt as thought there was no "spring" anymore, and the key did not go back to the running position on it's own? Would love to know what happened and is it something I can fix on my own?

Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable, on tilt columns remove the lever, Remove the column covers, Remove the three tamper proof torx screws, pull the switch away from the column. Release the connector locks on ignition, key in switch and halo light connectors, and remove the switch from the connectors
