MY 2005 DODGE CARAVAN HAS THE RADIO, CD, TAPE, AND DVD COMBO. I GOT INTO THE VAN SUNDAY AN THE RADIO WOULD NOT WORK NO POWER TO IT OR THE DVD PLAYER. ALL THE FUSES CHECKED GOOD. TODAY I GOT IN THE VAN THE RADIO WAS WORKING UNTIL I DECIDED TO PUT A DVD IN THEN IT SHUT OFF AGAIN. I CALLED TWO DODGE SHOPS BOTH TOLD ME THEY NEVER HEARD OF THIS HAPPENING THE BUT ONE SAID THEY WOULD PERFORM A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THIS IS AND IS THERE A WAY I CAN FIX THIS MYSELF.

Hi:

I wish I could tell you that I heard of this before, but I didn't. It sounds like it could be an internal problem with the radio itself. If that is the case, you will have to have a specialist repair it.

Let the dealer check it and see what he says. Get back to me with the outcome, and we'll go from there. (I have a friend who owns a stereo shop) I'll ask him after you get with the dealer.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
