At about 65,000 miles, our van developed a clunk in the front end whenever we hit bump. We had the struts replaced and the noise went away, but it always returns in cold weather. The mechanic has replaced the strut mounts 4 times and the problem still exists.

perhaps it isnt the struts then?

check the bushings. control arm bushings and stabilizer bar bushings for the main points! everytime the struts are replaced does it fix the problem?
