2005 Caravan engine light code?

I have a 2005 dodge Caravan 3.3 engine with 55,000 miles. Engine light came on, auto zone read codes as 403 and 404. Which is EGR faults. They have no parts available in the EGR circuit. Vehicle runs great can't see anything wrong with performance. I had them clear but came back on in about an hour. Where should I start checking without swapping expensive dealer parts. There is no dealers in area that I can trust. The chilton book doesn't give much info on the EGR and trouble shooting.

Egr valve advance auto parts no more than 50 bucks on average 12 bucks

I checked Advance, Autozone and Oreily online all say Not available for my vehicle.
