2004 Dodge Caravan radiator hose

What is the metal part of the lower radiator hose called ??? There is a rubber hose that comes off the radiator (not very long) and right into a metal tube that goes under a/c compressor and then up to the water pump, I'm guessing. Mine is leaking and needs to be replaced. (the metal tube) If anyone has attempted this, what am I in for ???

Hi:
On the radiator, you may find a 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch hose (rubber) that runs to steel, but it will be the trans cooler lines. Can you describe what you see? If possible, could you take a picture and up load it for me so I can see what you are dealing with?
