Electrical problem
2004 Dodge Caravan Front Wheel Drive Automatic 18000 miles
I have a problem with my battery draining down slowly. At first I thought it was a bad battery and went out and picked up a new one and installed it the van started up and ran great !! Problem solved! No... the next morning had the same problem the motor started but just barely I have a alarm and thought that this might be causing the problem so I left the alarm off and the next day the battery was dead again! I noticed that when it starts the inside lights on the dome flicker slightly but the alt.seams to be charging o.k. because I can shut off the motor and it will start up just fine. also the lights are bright.Do you think the alt. might have a short in the voltage regulator?This van only has 18,000 miles on it and is well taken care of what the heck could be causing this problem???
