2003 Dodge Caravan won't go into drive

Transmission problem
2003 Dodge Caravan 4 cyl Automatic 108534 miles

sometimes after the van sits awhile, I put it into drive and it wont go. Usually after a minute or two I'll put it back into drive and I can proceed normally. This usually happens after the car has been sitting awhile.
