I am looking for the approx cost to replace or repair the transmission in my 03 dodge caravan, it has been making a whinning sound for the past week or so.

If you buy a Chrysler 41TE remanufactured from them. And that is best.
The labor to replace should be 6 hours plus 1 hour to reprogramm or replace the computer(350) if it is needed. The trans cooler must be tested,cleaned, and the hoses(60) should be renewed. So add them up by getting a price from calling parts.
Then add 7 hours labor according to the dealers rate. ok plus oil(50). ok
