2003 Dodge Caravan Struts, Sway-bar Links

2003 DODGE CARAVAN
272,000 MILES • 6 CYL • FWD • AUTOMATIC

Vehicle service records indicate that the sway-bar links have been replaced 3 times since 2007.
What is the underlying cause?
Would replacing the struts & mounts eliminate this, or is something else going on?

It is common for them to go bad, but that seems extreme. Have you personally checked to make sure that is the problem? Are they loose? Also, new struts won't prevent this from happening. Make sure they are bad before they are replaced. If you hear a noise, many times it is the lower control arm bushings.

according to Midas, everything but the struts 'is fine', but i have a feeling that more is going on

Here is a simple test. Bounce the front of the vehicle. If it stops bouncing within 3 bounces, the structs are good. If that is the case, I would recommend a second opinion. If I was there, I could tell you right away.
