Im getting the p0456 code on 03 grand caravan and have bought and thrown out several gas caps so i dont think that is the problem. many posts say the problem then is most likely the fuel vapor canister but i do not know where that particular part is located and cant find a good schematic online. what do i do to get rid of the code?

Most shops have a "smoke" machine that can pressurize the evaporative emissions system with two pounds of pressurized non-toxic smoke to find leaks. They might find a cracked vacuum hose or a purge solenoid that isn't closing properly. The loose gas cap is just the most common cause of a leak but by far not the only one.
