My 2003 Dodge Caravan started having erractic problems with the fan blowing. It would come on some times, and not blow even when on high others. It stopped working over a week ago and randomly started blowing today but with a loud noise (like a helicopter). **note: the blower for the rear heat/AC works fine. Any idea what this may be? Do I need a new fan motor?

Sounds like it could be a bad blower motor or connection coming to it. I would try running power and ground directly to the motor to test it.
