While it's just idling, it sounds perfect. But when you go to give it the gas, a loud pecking noise sounds like it is coming from the top part of the engine. Just suddenly started happening one day on the way home. Also rattles a bit when it starts.

sounds like a rod is knocking., check the oil level and top off, see if it makes a difference, if not, the rod will need to be replaced
