We purchased a 2002 Grand Caravan about 18 months ago. Everything was fine until about a month ago. I noticed the transmission "jumping" a bit while slowing down.
Now when trying to start up at a light or stop sign it appears to be out of gear and does not move. I have to press the gas a couple seconds and it eventually kicks into gear. It does the same thing when shifting from reverse to drive. I am assuming the worst, that the transmission is shot. Could it be something else? Also if is is the transmission would it be under warranty? Thanks a lot.

I would check tranny fluid as a 1st step
it takes ATF+3 fluid
its depend on your warranty
you need to check that
