Today I started my van and then sudden knocking noise.
Definitely increases with acceleration. Louder with lower speed. I know this is not good but where do I start? Just a list of ideas or problems to start with. Also no white smoke. Still good acceleration (no loss of power).
Sounds like a constant tick. Thanks.

Check the oil pressure could be the oil pump getting lazy or engine bearings and lifters problems-excessive valve lash etc
