I have a 2002 Grand Caravan with a 3.3 V6 eng.
after the AC compressor seized to the point where it would almost stall the engine I purchased a new compressor as well as the so called Filter/Dryer and replaced them both.
I went to the shop that services the vehicles at my job and we vaccumed and then charged the system. two days later the high pressure hose blew off the compressor. I then under the advice of a mechanic
replaced both Expansion valves front and rear as it is a dual AC unit and vaccumed the system over night,
the following day when I attempted to charge the system after only adding about 1.5 lbs of refrigirant the compressor started making noises and the pressure went up to about 300 and the mechanic told me to shut it down and evacuated the system again.
I am lost at this point and do not know what steps I need to take. Could there be blockage in the system even after replacing all of the things I replaced ? and
I would like to know what the electrical 2 wire switch like device is that attaches on the front expansion valve that attaches to the firewall.
