I bought a Dodge Caravan 2002 the beginning of Aug. The a/c wasnt working properly. After turning it to recirculate the engine jumped and wouldnt accelerate. They ended up(after several trips to mech with engine light on where they replaced spark plugs/wires distributor caps always same, shaking and no acc) replacing the main electrical housing I think called an EDM 900.00 part. It is constantly cracking distributor caps. The last 2 times again engine light now blinking comes on, shakes and wont accelerate. There is also a a smell of burning oil/gas/exhaust and the tail pipe is blowing some water.

It seems to also be something electrical as AC didnt work properly in beg, blows but not cold. Dash lights didnt work. Cruise doesnt work. Windshield wiper fluid wont spray. These are intermittent problems not always the same time when they replace a distributor cap etc seems to relieve the problem until driven a few miles.

Have they checked the BCM? Have they checked for bad body grounds? As far as the distributor cap, where is it cracking every time?
