2001 Dodge Caravan windshield wipers won't stop

2001 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 120k miles

The windshild wipers on my caravan won't turn off even when the engine is off. I've unplugged the switch and they still keep going. I had to unplug the relay in the fuse box to make them stop. Any ideas?

test the relay or replace it and try again.
