Transmission problem
2001 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Automatic 95000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Dodge Sport 2001 Caravan. I recently had the Solenoid replaced. While driving it today the engine would start to whine and then i would lose power, as if the car had been thrown into neutral. I would pull over and stop and the car would not go either forward or backward. Then after a few minutes the drive would engage again and i could go another short distance. Solenoid problem? My van has been leaking transmission fluid too.

IS THE TRANS FULL OF OIL? HOW MUCH HAVE YOU HAD TO ADD AT ONE TIME? HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN LEAKING? VERY LOW OIL LEVEL CAN CAUSE THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM AND IT WILL CAUSE THE CLUTCH PACKS TO BURN OUT.
