You 'll need to check the pressure of the refrigerant. Sounds like its not enough refrigerant in the system, over time rings and washers become dry or cracked and causes a very slow leak and then next thing you know you dont have quite enough refrigerant to keep the system going. Also when it gets warm, check a couple of things, open the hood and see if the fan is on. And two, look at the compressor and see if the center of the compressor is spinning along with the pulley not just the pulley but the center of the pulley (which is the clutch) if its not. Then there is not enough pressure in the system and it needs to be topped off and a little sealer in the system wouldnt hurt, just to try to plug whatever leakage is going on
