Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Dodge Caravan 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

i have just changed a broken timing belt on this dodge caravan. i have the timing marks lined up perfectly according to the chilton manual. however, it idles rough and when you press on the gas peddle it starts backfiring through the throttle body. it also seems to have no power when you hit the gas. i did not drive it. i also had to replace the fuel filter. please help

Check compression most likely have a bent valve

engine is interference type when T belt brakes pistons contact valves. @ 150psi

checked compression about 170 +/- 5 for each piston.
checked all wires and plugs plus coil pack. have fuel to rail and good pressure at the rail 42 lbs.
no coeds coming up as of yet. please help.

Does Chiltons marks look like these NOTE fig.5 for crank fig.7 shows cams one tooth off which is correct.

all is working i had the tooth 1 off. it was a pain trying to get the marks aligned. but everything is working good.
this vehicle must have a over rev limiter. when sitting in the driveway the car sounded like it was miss firing. but when in gear it would run normal.
