it appears that my transmission is having problems. When I come to a stop the idle fluctuates rapidly and sometimes stalls and when I reverse it does the same. There is also a rattling noise in both 1st gear and reverse. I'm I correct to assume transmission?

Hi there,

I recommend that you go get a transmission test and report done ASAP, as any such noise in a transmission can only spell trouble, do not drive it further than you have to, you may be doing serious damage, best to err on the side of caution until we know what is going on,
