My Dodge Caravan transmission doesn't always engage into drive whenyou first try driving. Reverse seems to be ok. Seems to be an intermitant problem.

unfortunately thats a tell tale sign of a trnamission internal problem. you may want to have a transmission shop take it for a ride and check the computor for a transmission trouble code, its also possible if there are codes stored that it may only be a transmission input and or output sensor which are inexpensive but you need to check for codes first. hope this helps
