I have a Dodge Caravan 2000 with 63,000 miles and runs fine. However, the dealer mechanic told me I should change my timing belt and water pump. To change the timing belt will be $800. For a separate charge, if I do their 60,000 mile maintenance check, for $545, it will include the replacement of the water pump for a total of about $1300+.
Does this sound reasonable to you?

I guess, the water pump if it is inside the timing cover then It should be done while doing the belt, but should cost too much more than just the timing belt
