On 3 occasions the van has started by itself. I thought my wife was crazy when she reported it the first two times. After witnessing it just moments ago, I'm shocked. There was no remote in the garage, much less a key within 30 feet of the ignition. I did have the van door open and was looking for my daughter's dolls on the floor. I was totally surprised when it started. I did not know what to do at first. I had to run in and get the key but it did no good as the ignition was in the off position. I decided to try to drive it but as soon as I put it in gear (i think) the dash lights blinked and it turned off.
I did have my blackberry on and wonder if some wierd signal could have triggered some electrical signal.
We just got rid of our 1999 Town and Country partly due to numerous electrical problems.
question is-- what do I do to get it fixed? Clearly it is sporadic, and may be difficult to troubleshoot. I googled for hints but found none.
Completely flabbergasted and very leary of Dodge / Chrysler electrical systems,
