2000 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Our 2000 Caravan is making a squealing noise . It does it constantly, but the noise is more pronounced when braking. We have replaced the rear wheel drums, and that did not stop the noise. My husband has checked the brakes, and they are NOT the cause. Can you help

If you checked the brakes and they are good, I have a couple thing for you to check. First, I am assuming that you only hear the noise when the car is moving and gets worse when you use the brakes. If that is wrong, let me know.

First, there are sensors that are metal tabs on the brake pads. Even though the brakes are good, the sensor may be bent and rubbing the rotor. Check that first.

Next, behind the brake rotors, there are backing plates. Check to make sure they are not bent or rusted and rubbing the brake rotor.

Let me know what you find.
