Here's something odd. I started the van and all was fine. I then noticed the van wouldn't shift out of second gear. I came off the accelerator and she shifted. Then the speedo stopped working. Later I noticed the idle speed was higher than usual (around 1000 rpm usually around 6 or 7 hundred), when in park. I DO need a new ecm due to the internal memory being faulty. Any Ideas?

If it isn't shifting, I would say either there is a bad shift solenoid or the trans control module is causing a problem. It could even be the governor. Has anyone checked it for you to date?
