Using fuel cleaner because of hard starting. Cleaned fuel pump connection. Revealing leaky fuel pump. Is there a fuel filter on this make.

You will never solve a running problem on a Chrysler product by replacing the fuel filter. A plugged filter, or a little more likely, a plugged pickup screen, will cause engine stalling when the largest volume of fuel is being pumped, which occurs during COASTING.

If you're experiencing a long crank time when starting, suspect a leaky injector. You may be able to prove this by turning the ignition switch on for a few seconds without cranking the engine, then turn it back off for at least five seconds. Do this again and even a third time, then crank the engine. Every time you turn the ignition switch on, the fuel pump will run for two seconds. This will get the fuel pressure up in preparation for starting. If it starts quickly now, that's proof pressure has been bleeding off when the engine was off.
