HI,

MY 2000 CARAVAN IS OVERHEATED ON A SHORT TRIP TO THE MALL (9 MILES). THE TEMP GUAGE WENT TO THE TOP AND THE WARNING ALARM SOUNDED. OFCOURSE I TURNED THE ENGINE OFF IMMEDIATELY.

NO COOLANT APPEARS TO BE LEAKING HOWEVER ENGINE OIL AND COOLANT HAVE SOMEHOW MIXED TOGETHER.

CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME IF THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AT THIS MILAGE, AND WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW. PLEASE HELP!!

Hi there,

This is the signs of a cracked cylinder head or a gasket problem. I would get it checks asap by a mechanic before you do more damage.
