Carwas stalling on me when I would put the brake on.
Yesterday it would not start. I tried to start and it backfired.
Had Fuel pump and filter changed.
Had coil pack changed.
Had spark plugs changed.
Had water pump changed.
Still doesnt start.
Please advise what else to do.
Thank you
Josie

Car stalling when applying brakes indicates low vacuum source. Check the timing to make sure it is still in proper time. If timing belt hasn't been replaced, it might have slipped a tooth or two and it would also account for the backfire. You are getting fuel and spark or it wouldn't backfire. You need to make sure it is getting them in the right time. Have you had it scanned for codes and data stream?
