Transmission problem
2000 Dodge Caravan Front Wheel Drive Automatic 118,00 miles
My engine light came on a couple of days ago and when Russ went to have it tested at Checker the codes came back -
aa Transaxle control system fault
aaECM received a signal that the transaxle control aamodule has a fault
probable cause:
aa1 shorted or open circuit withing transaxle
aa2 failure of transaxle control module
They said maybe a wire had been chewed? We did have a desert rat's next in the car a few months ago, but didn't notice anything then. Russ changes out a lot of parts in the cars, has never done anything with that. How hard of a repair is this?
