When driving loses all power?

My van when driving loses all power. It happens for a few minutes after I start it then it is okay. I put it in park and then usually will go back in gear. But sometimes it takes a minute of doing this for it to kick into gear. It always seems to do this when in drive and not reverse.

First step with this one is to check the pcm for codes. It may give something that will shed some light.

These trannys need filter and fluid changes more often than most.I think the manufacturer recomends every 15000 miles.

I assume the fluid is good. And I am not inferring this is the source.

I have seen people change out the valve body module which fixed this problem. Here is how the job is done if a code is stored for it. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
