1999 Dodge Caravan Timing Belt Direction

I replaced the water pump on my brother's dodge caravan. I followed the Haynes manual step by step and marked the direction of rotation on the timing belt before removing it to get to the water pump. And believe it or not, my sweat took the mark off. What should I do? The timing belt is fairly new because it was replaced when someone before me tried to replace the pump, but it was still leaking. Any help would be much obliged.

If your marking is gone then there is nothing you can do really other than buy a new one. Buy a new belt so to be certain not to harm the vehicle. Installing the old belt (even a slightly old one.) In the opposition direction it was once rotating will cause it to become weak and break prematurely.
