1999 Dodge Caravan Sometimes the direction indicators work

Sometimes the indicators work fine. At other times they either don't work at all or one side works and the other side will not work. This can happen when the indicator is flashing it just suddenly stops working. Often when the engine has been turned off and then started the lights work again.

Any ideas please?

Start by replacing the flasher
