1999 Dodge Caravan Salt in the gas tank

I am afraid that my exhusband has put some salt into my gas tank. I haven't tried to run the car since he was here, but am I at risk to any damage to my van?

dont start it. drain out the gas and change the filter before you even attempt to start the vehicle its not worth the gamble of running it if there may be salt in it.
