1999 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi, the handle on my dip stick broke and I tried to use needle nose pliers to retrieve what was left of the dip stick. It didn't budge so I removed the dip stick tube, but half of the dip stick broke in the tube and the other half broke off in the engine. I'm having trouble getting it out of the engine. I tried using a pair of vise grips and had no luck with that. Any ideas? Any help is appreciated.

You might have to drop the oil pan to get at it
