When i put my car in gear i hear a noise like something on my car might need oil. I also hear this same sound sometimes when I stop at a light or atop sign. But I always hear it when i put it in gear. What does this mean?

Hi there,
These problems really need to be heard first, if there is no odd noise with the engine running and only when the trans is selected to drive, i could only imagine it is a problem with in the transmission, you best have some one listen to this and give you an opinion.
