On a hit in the front end everything wants to be pushed forward, and sliding the door closed on the passenger side is like a small collision, well either way check the door ajar switch on the sliding door opening, it's the first to go, they become out of adjustment due to the door being slammed from normal use, check and see if removing that door ajar switch and insulating the terminals with black tape doesn't stop it from dinging. If not you can remove that round chime, its by the fuse panel inside. If you replace the ajar switch and be sure the sliding door is adjusted ok, it should be good for another 6 years, they go at around 6 or 7 yrars. Especially if the sliding door is used alot.
