1999 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

im having problems changing the outher tie rods i broke the nuts loose but the tie rod and whole shaft moves i got then lock nut loose also how can i get the end off without messing up the rack or inner tie rod

Put the tapered stud back in the knuckle then turn the inner tie rod with a channel lock pliers. Sometimes the inner boot will want to twist. Just squeeze and remove the ring on the end of the boot if that happens.

Coat the threads with just a little grease to make it easier for the alignment technician. Do not use Mopar Rust Penetrant. It will free up rusted threads very nicely, but if you don't wash it all off, moisture will follow it into the threads later making the parts extremely difficult to remove or adjust.
