My driver side power door lock does not always open or lock when I use the key fob or door switch. I hear the actuator working and all the other door locks work fine but the driver side door lock only works some of the time. I have to manually lock or unlock it with the key.

I'd like to know what's wrong and if this is an easy fix I can do myself or if I should take it to a mechanic.

Hi:
It sounds like the solenoid that actuates the lock is going bad. It's not too hard to replace if you want to try. Take the door panel off and you see it attached to the lock linkage.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
