When I turned off my vehicle, the engine fans kept running. I came out to a dead battery. When I hooked up the cables to jump start it, the fans came back on. What would cause this problem and drain the battery?

disconnect the coolant switch and see what happens fans turn off switch is bad. if it stays on then your cooling fan relay is sticking and needs to be replaced or the fans are shorted to power.
