1998 Dodge Caravan My car wobbles

Occasionally my car starts shaking back and forth horribly. I have atken it in, and the mechanic has assured my nothing is wrong. But now when I drive it, I can hear thunking noises, and I can feel the vibration from it under my feet. Help!

Obviously, something is wrong. Depending on exactly when and how it's vibrating, you may have worn axles, ball joints or motor mounts.
