My engine runs cool but when weather is hot and stop at light the fans don't come on engine over heats. Check relays, fans all ok when I turn air condititioner also the fans will not come on. Could it be the water tempursure unit and where is it located? Thank you

Yes it could be a temp sensor. The sensor is normally located near the thermostat housing.
