Brakes problem
1998 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 12000k miles

I just purchased this van and have no idea if the emergency break is stuck or I simply dont know where the release button is. My parking break is mashed down and wont release. Is it stuck, or I should look for a release button

well do you have the red brake light on
and the handle release is up by the hood release handle left of the steering
