We had approx 2 gallons of Diesel Fuel put into a full tank of high test gas (20 gallon tank). The car was driven approx 12 miles and then shut off and not re-started. My question: Is the Diesel Fuel thinned out enough as not to harm the engine if driven? Will it gum up or hurt the engine/injectors if driven? And is there a way to drain/suck out the fuel and refill it with reg gas? I prepairing for a long maintenance week-end, please help.

Thanks, Gordon

Hi:
The diesel fuel needs to be removed. Yes, it can cause problems with the fuel pump, filter and injectors. To remove the fuel, you will need to pump it out with a pump designed for gas.
