Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1998 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 120k miles

Help'
What is the trick for removing the axle on the drivers side. I've tried a pri-bar just outside the transmission, rotating the axle to pry on all three axle notches with know luck.

CV Joints are bad.

Hi Frank,

When attempting the manuver with the pry bar are you pushing the axle in prior to attempt? If the spring clip is against the gear inside it will be more difficult to get out. It also helps if you have someone holding the outer end and pull as your make a quick snap on the axle.

The other option is to purchase a specialty tool for removing CV Axles..... Check out tool link below...
