The speedometer, tach, and gauges go out intermitently; they will come back on after a few miles of driving. This only happens during hot/humid weather; during the winter months it does not happen. The check engine code that is stored when this happens is P1698. Does the instrument cluster need to be replaced, or are there other possibilities to consider?
