1997 Dodge Caravan crankshaft seal

Raise vehicle
Remove passenger side wheel
Remove passenger side splash shield
Remove drive belt
Remove dampener bolt and remove dampener (harmonic balancer)
Use seal removal tool C-4991 (available for rent from most auto parts store - if you don't want to purchase one) to remove the seal from timing cover.

Use seal installer tool C-4992 with the seal's spring side towards the engine, install until surfaces are even
Install harmonic balancer. Torque to 40 ft/lbs
The rest is reverse of removal
