1997 Dodge Caravan CD install

I installed a cd player into my girlfriends car and everything worked in the beginning. Now the speedometer and rpm guages do not work and it wont start unlees you jump it. What did I do? Could have I messed up the computer system? Thats what her parents think I did.

Battery power too weak. Get the battery tested at an auto parts store (Autozone or CSK/O'Reilly). They should do that for free.

Did you use a wiring kit, or did you cut and splice the wires? Did you follow the instruction with the CD player and the wiring kit, and the CD player turns off automatically when the key is off, chances are that you probably didn't cause it.
