I have the opportunity to purchase a remanufactured transmission advertised to fit my vehicle.
It is advertised as the following.

"(REMANUFACTURED ) transmission for a 1990 - 2005! Dodge or chrysler caravan ( A.T, 4 SPEED 6 - 201 3.3 LITER ENGINE, FRONT WHEEL DRIVE requirement ) "

Will this fit my 1996 (MFG date 7-95) Caravan 4speed transmission 3.3 Engine? Or do I need more information from seller?

There were many changes between 1990 and 2005. You need to tell him what trans you have and have him guarantee it will fit.

Unless your trans had PIN break inside, you may want to look into testing level of voltage/amps and for vacuum leaks along system or even just bad wire contact from battery. If your tranny doesnt work. It doesnt mean you have bad tranny in these ridiculous "Hi-Tech" designs. My door latches, cruise, starter, fuel pump, brakes have all been deemed "ill", when in fact its always been a dumb sensor or relay that wasnt getting "required" amperage to the units. Good luck and if you have any of these afforementioned probs. You can call me as Im in touch with Lemon Law News and the Manufacturer regarding MANY FALSE Tests that lead us down the wrong road.
